Mary Lou Venderleith Roper

Mary Lou Venderleith Roper, age 91, of Cumming, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. She was born in 1932, to the late Hubert Earnest Mooney, and Annie Lydia Collins Mooney. Mary Lou was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and music. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Julius Egbert Roper; daughter-in-law, Judy Roper; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Holbert and Adell Roper, Ralph and Helen Roper, Inez and James Chadwick, Marcus Roper, Fairy Higgins, Shirley and Charles Gurley, Eddie Roper, Peggy Barrington, and sister and brothers-in-law, Louise and Billy Ray and Rupert Wilkie.

She is survived by her children, Lamar Roper, Diann (Thomas) Mims, Wayne (Becky) Roper, Gail (Mike) Seitz, and Dennis (Pam) Roper; grandchildren, Terry (Brenda) Roper, Matthew (Shelly) Roper, Derrick (Jennifer) Mims, Denver (Alisha) Mims, Devin (Shelly) Mims, Josh (Ashley) Roper, Seth (Katie) Roper, and Kandance (Rey) Reeves; siblings, Bertha Wilkie, James and Judy Mooney; sister-in-law, Linda Roper; and many great and great great-grandchildren; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Orr and Rev. David Frix officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
