Matthew was born on December 29th, 1993, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He grew up in Wellington, Florida, and relocated to Georgia, where he graduated from North Forsyth High School. Following graduation, he served in the United States Navy, carrying out his service until 2016.
Matthew was an avid collector of antiques, books, and coins and had a profound interest in his family’s genealogy. He spent his free time studying history and geography and expressed himself through his music and poetry. He was known for his wit, intellect, expansive vocabulary, and strong work ethic. He was a loving son, brother, and friend.
Matthew is preceded in death by his grandpa Martin G. Nielsen, nanny Penny Jo Polley, and sister Kyndahl Ranae Nielsen.
His memory will be cherished by his parents, Mark and Kimberly Nielsen, sister Kassidy Miller (Matt), brother Luke Nielsen, and many extended family members and friends.
Family received friends on Sunday February 4, 2024, at the Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
Family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2023, at Ingram Funeral Home from 11:00 am to time of procession 1:00 pm.
Prayer service at 2:30 pm Friday, February 9, 2024, at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
