Mayford “Junior” Knight

Mayford “Junior” Knight passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the age of 87, in his hometown of Cumming, GA. He worked as a coal miner for 18 years, foreman with Williams Brothers for 8 years and was a truck driver for 18 years. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a SMILE! 

Junior enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. Junior met the love of his life, Billie Jean at drive in theater. It was love at first sight, Together, they had five children: Patricia, Linda, Clayton, Nina and Bobby.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Davenport (Jeff Skinner), Linda Knight, Clayton Knight (Tammy Knight), Nina Jones (Tilford Jones) and Bobby Causey (Donna Hammond). He has 10 grandchildren Clayton, Camron, Trish, Chrystal, Jenny, Brittney, Charles, Nikki, Courtney and Taylor and 18 great grandkids. 

Junior will be honored with a Celebration of Life on Monday, November 6, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel.
