Melford Barrett Herring

Melford Barrett Herring, age 72, of Cumming, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He was a beloved father and grandfather. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Melford graduated Berry College with a degree in Chemistry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Cleo Herring; wife, Ann Spain Herring; brother, Allan Herring.

Survivors include his children, Barbara Herring (Randy) Smith of Cumming, Russell Herring of Cumming; sister, Gail Herring (Shannon) Mize of Cumming; brother, Randy (Terri) Herring of Cumming; grandchildren, Christin Hayes, Lexi Smith, Cameron Smith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2nd at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Brookwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 am until hour of service.
