Melvin Edward Navarro

Melvin Edward Navarro, age 63, of Cumming, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016, at Northside Hospital Forsyth. Mr. Navarro was born in Virginia in 1952 to the late John and Ruby Navarro. He retired from the Federal Penitentiary of Atlanta, after serving there many years. Melvin will always be remembered as a great husband, step-father and Pop-Pop. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Navarro of Cumming, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Mark Austin of Dahlonega, GA; grandchild, Jacob Austin of Dahlonega, GA, sister, Gayle Muth of Chesapeake, VA; best friend, Bob Sermons of VA; along with many other loving friends and relatives. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 3:00 PM, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 12, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of arrangements.
