Merle Bryson, 76, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026. A native of Murphy, NC Merle was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was of the Pentecostal faith. Merle was a hardworking man; he spent most of his career driving and working on Peterbilt semi trucks. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed working on projects and could fix anything. Merle is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Jolene Bryson.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Bryson; children, Stephanie Hobbs of Carrolton, GA, Lisa Rayburn of Newnan, GA; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Sheila Bryson of Jefferson, GA, Matthew and Melissa Bryson of Murphy, NC; sisters, Maureen Griggs of Andrews, NC and Mary Interman of Murphy, NC; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rodney Allen, Pastor Austin Houston and Pastor Clarence Reynolds officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, June 22, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
