Michelle LaChance Arwood, age 58, of Rome, GA passed away on July 30th, 2026. She was an exceptional friend, patient mentor, devoted sister, impassioned mother, and fiercely loyal wife.

Michelle was born in East Point, Georgia and moved to Cumming, Georgia at the age of 13 where she would meet the love of her life and eventually marry him 10 years later. They enjoyed almost 35 years together. Motherhood was something that she was very proud of, and she raised an amazing daughter for whom she passed on a sense of honesty, fairness, and kindness. Michelle was a dedicated employee of Automatic Data Processing (ADP) for 33 years and was one of those rare people that truly loved her job. Her team described her as warm, calm, caring, and endlessly supportive - a trait that she also emulated in her private life. She was a baker of near-professional skill and loved peanut butter and chocolate when combined in anything. A kid of the 80s, Michelle was also known for her love of TaB, Converse sneakers, and Prince. She was loved by many for her unique and infectious laugh and her ability to give the most amazing hugs.

Michelle is preceded in death by her parents Ronald LaChance and Sharon Grist LaChance of Cumming, Georgia.

Michelle is survived by her husband Jeff Arwood, her daughter, Ada Arwood, and her sisters Melinda LaChance Schultz and Suzanne LaChance.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 9th, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church of Rome. GA. The family will receive friends at the church after the service in the fellowship hall.
