Mildred Pirkle

Mrs. Mildred Pirkle, age 86, of Cumming, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Clay Pirkle. Survivors include her daughter, Christine Pirkle Underwood of Ball Ground; sons and daughter-in-law, Leland Pirkle, Larry and Rosaline Pirkle and Harvey Lanier Pirkle all of Cumming; sisters, Martha Sorrells and Eria Thompson both of Cumming; brothers, Eddie Gene Samples, Leon Samples, Charles Samples, Roger Samples and Stephen Samples all of Cumming; grandchildren, Shelley Pritchett, Jeffrey Underwood, Lecia Sosebee, Gregg Pirkle and Lori Pirkle; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, May 26, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Orr and Rev. Larry Vaughn officiating. Mrs. Pirkle will lie in state at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 23rd from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Monday, May 24th from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm.
