Mollie (Faircloth) Hamilton

HAMILTON, Mollie

Age 78, of Ithaca, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Mollie was born to Ira Faircloth and Marie (Perunovich) in Pensacola, Florida. Mollie was preceded in death by her best friend, and loving husband of 38 years, Jim Hamilton. She is also preceded in death by her siblings Ted Stiver, Brenda Jordon, and Gil Faircloth.

Mollie is survived by her sister, Geraldine Zink; children, Matthew (Betsey) Pohl, Mark (Missy) Pohl, Tricia (Kevin) Eilerman, and Elizabeth (Chris) Schul; grandchildren, Macy Pohl-Kohnen (Lucas), Conner Pohl (Madison), Camille Pohl, Lily Schul, Kris Eilerman, Henry and Isaac Tallon. She will be sorely missed by faithful companion, Gypsy.

Mollie graduated from Northmont High School and then continued her education earning her Associates Degree in Accounting. She had a long, successful career retiring as the Controller at Gem City Metal Spinning. 

Mollie and Jim loved to spend time traveling with friends to NASCAR races, attending their grandchildren's activities, and sitting on the front porch watching the slow pace of country life.  

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00pm Sat. January 20 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304, with visitation from 12-2 Saturday. Per her wishes, the family will celebrate her life later this year in Pensacola. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
