Morris Alfred Young

Morris Alfred Young, age 81, of Cumming passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012. Mr Young retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He served in the Korean Conflict and in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Midway Community Church. He was an avid fisherman and a loved hunting. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Kaye Young. Survivors include his wife Joyce Gordon Young of Cumming; children, Ronnie (Tracy) Young of Cumming, Barbara Ann Newcomb of Powder Springs, Mary Maier of Roswell, Brenden St. John of Newnan; sisters, Carol Blalock of Decatur, Debbie Anderson of Washington, GA; brother, Joey Young of Loganville; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Midway Community Church with Rev. Dean Ropp and Rev. Ron Young Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
