Myrtie Willease Thomas

Myrtie Willease Thomas, age 79, of Cumming, GA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 20th, 2021. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Willease was the oldest of eight children. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas; parents, Jess and Opal Sewell; daughter, Denise Spencer; siblings, Wade Sewell, Louise Massey, Ronald Sewell, Janice Spinks, Glenn Sewell.

She is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Scott) Salisbury; siblings, James Sewell, Thomas (Geneva) Sewell; grandchildren, Jeff Spencer, Jeremy Spencer, Jessica Spencer (Phillip Sambola); great grandchildren, Rayleigh Sheffield, Everleigh Sambola; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 24th, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Boling officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 23rd, from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM, and again on Saturday, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help off-set the funeral expenses.
