Myrtle Elizabeth Martin, age 93 of Cumming, passed away, Thursday, November 15, 2012. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her sons, Edward and William James Bell; sons-in-law, Jay Smith, Jr., Frank Delong, Barton Chambers; half sister, Sybil Anderson; half brothers, Dennis Shockley, Eugene Shockley, J. C. Shockley. Survivors include her children, Geraldine DeLong, Dacula, Katherine Chambers of NC, Mildred Carter, Texas, Bonnie Smith, Cumming, Jeanett Crawford of Athens, Fletcher (Linda) Bell of Cumming, Dottie Kay of Gainesville, Patricia (Larry) Hall of Cumming, Roger Bell; half sisters, Athana Vester of Clermont, Betty Jones of SC; half brother, Homer Shockley of Lula; 38 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; best friend, Willene White of Cumming. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 18th at 3:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Wilkie and Rev. Scott Sorrells officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm, Sunday from 9:00 am till hour of the service.
