In Loving Memory of Nancy Fisher Dambach
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Nancy Fisher Dambach, on May 3, 2025, in Cumming, Georgia. Nancy was born in Long Island City, New York, where she also met and married the love of her life, Hans Dambach. They shared a beautiful marriage that spanned 52 years.
Over her remarkable 85 years, Nancy devoted herself to her family and community. As a dedicated mother, she enthusiastically supported her children's activities—serving as team mom for their various sports teams and never missing a game or event, proudly cheering from the sidelines with her beloved husband.
Nancy began her professional journey as an administrative assistant in the New York real estate market, where she once earned the title of "Miss Real Estate." After relocating to Georgia, she continued her career in the service industry—working over 20 years at JCPenney and more than 25 years as a concierge at Marriott, where she received numerous accolades including Associate of the Month and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Despite her professional accomplishments, Nancy considered her most meaningful roles to be those of wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was selfless and compassionate, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her warm spirit, lively personality, and generous heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Nancy had a rare ability to make people feel valued and loved, and her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.
Nancy is survived by her loving children: John Dambach (Michele), Stephen Dambach (Karen), and Susan Prince (Dan); her cherished grandchildren: Alexia, Ansley, Anthony, Henry, Jordan, Julia, and Max; and her niece and nephew: Karen Rockis and William Papaccio.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Hans Dambach, her parents Julia and Harry Fisher, and her sister June Papaccio.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040. Graveside services will take place on Friday morning, May 9, 2025, at 11 AM at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Nancy’s memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in New York City: https://giving.mskcc.org/
