Neva Jahnz, 87, of Cumming, GA, passed away on May 11, 2026. Neva was born in Hemptown, GA, to the late Ralph & Jessie Sparks. She was a graduate of Fannin County High School.

Neva had a long career working in industrial sales alongside her husband and excelled as the office manager. She enjoyed flowers, landscaping, travel, painting, reading the Atlanta Journal Constitution, lunch or dinner with friends, and laughter. Clothes and fashion were a true passion to her. As a long time member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, she loved her church and the people.

Neva was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo “Dutch” Jahnz; sisters, Elga Burrell, Ramona Harper, Janet Deaver, Janice Jarrard, and Lagree Lawson; brothers, Clarence Sparks, Buel Sparks, Edison Sparks, and Mercier Sparks.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Ryan (Dr. Bob Ryan), grandsons Dr. Michael Ryan (Brittany) and Chris Ryan (Whitney), 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Hallmark Homecare, Dottie & Doug Yates, Mott & Miesha; Pruitt Hospice; and the Resting Nest in Gainesville GA.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit.
