Patrick Thurlow Spence

Patrick Thurlow Spence, son of Geder Allen Mary Fisher Spence, was born in Macon, Georgia August 20, 1936. He was a graduate of Lanier High School, in Macon, where he played football. Pat then graduated from Auburn University, where he majored in electrical engineering; he went to receive his masters degree from Georgia Tech. After working in Burlington, North Carolina; White Sands, New Mexico; and Atlanta, Georgia, Pat relocated to Roswell, Georgia where he formed his own company, Universal Controls, Inc.

He is survived by two children: Tim Spence (Marlena), and Linda Broome (Philip), as well as six grandchildren: Serena Spence, Claudia Spence,Camryn Spence, Hunter Broome, Hayden Broome, and Hailey Broome. His brother Jerry R. Spence, from Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews survive him.

A private memorial service will be held.
