Peggy Martin Gilleland

Peggy Martin Gilleland, 86 of Alpharetta, GA passed away August 28, 2022. Mrs. Gilleland was born in Cumming, GA to the late Benjamin and Bertie Page Martin. She was a lifetime member of Hightower Baptist Church in Ball Ground, GA where she sang in the church choir. Peggy enjoyed gardening and loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Mrs. Gilleland was preceded in death by her husband, Walt Gilleland; brothers, Joe Martin and Jimmy Martin.

Peggy is survived by her sons and daughter in-law, Steven and Deborah Gilleland, Jeff and Rita Gilleland; grandchildren, Leslie (Matthew) Hucks, Caleb (Christie) Gilleland, Hannah (Joe) Ridley; great grandchildren, Jackson Hucks, Dylan Ridley, Tyler Ridley, Kaylee Ridley, Logan Ridley, Walton Gilleland, Zara Gilleland; sisters and brothers in-law, Joyce and Clarence Kirby, Sandra and Warren Meeks; sister in-law, Judy Martin; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Hightower Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie McCormick and Rev. Gerral Richards officiating. Mrs. Gilleland will lie in state from 10:00 am until service hour at the church. Interment will follow in Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040
