Peggy Lou Pickron

Peggy Lou Pickron, age 91, of Cumming, Georgia, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, July 4, 2025.

Peggy was born on April 23, 1934, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to Ralph Car Pearman and Lila Wilson Pearman. At a young age, her family relocated to Orlando, Florida, where she spent her formative years. After graduating from high school, she held various jobs until she reached the age requirement to pursue her dream of becoming a flight attendant. She then joined National Air Lines and spent several joyful years traveling the world.

Her adventurous spirit led her to the greatest journey of all—meeting the love of her life, Charles Thad Pickron, on a blind date. After five years of courtship (during which Charles was ready to propose much sooner), Peggy accepted his proposal, and they were married on August 30, 1959. Their 64 years of marriage were filled with love, devotion, and countless cherished memories as they raised their three children: Cindy, David, and Robert.

Peggy embraced her role as a devoted stay-at-home mother, always present and engaged in her children’s lives. She was actively involved in their school activities and was a proud member of the local Garden Club. Her family was truly the center of her world, and she poured her heart into caring for those she loved. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched everyone who had the joy of knowing her.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Kunis (David) and Robert Pickron (Janice); her daughter-in-law, Dana Pickron; her beloved grandchildren, Abby Kunis, Brooke Kunis, and Olivia Pickron; and great-grandchildren, Georgia Moore and Brooks Brennan. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law Bobby Pickron (Betty); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nell and John Hadley; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Peggy’s dedicated caregivers, Cassandra Glass, Hedy Pridgen and Wendy Smith for their love and compassion.

Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Thad Pickron; her son, David Charles Pickron; her parents, Ralph and Lila Pearman; and her sister, Jo Ann Smyth.

Peggy will be remembered for her sweet nature, her unwavering love for her family, and her deep faith. She was a light to all who knew her, and her legacy of love and grace will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
