Penny Mayrene Adams

Mayrene Penny Adams, 85, passed peacefully into the presence of her Savior on the evening of July 26, 2026.

Born in Tennessee on November 13, 1940, she spent much of her childhood moving throughout the country as her father served in a government position. Eventually, her family settled in Miami, Florida, where she developed a lifelong love for the ocean, warm weather, and good food. There she also met the love of her life, Ed, during his service in the Coast Guard. They were married on January 1, 1960, beginning a beautiful marriage that lasted 62 years. Three years later, they welcomed their beloved daughter, Robyn, on Valentine’s Day.

Penny devoted her life to caring for her family as a homemaker, while faithfully serving others. She was a Sunday school teacher, a gifted musician, a talented seamstress, and a beautiful artist. But above all else, her greatest passion was her relationship with Jesus Christ. Her faith was the foundation of her life and the source of her strength, joy, and peace. Through her words and her example, she faithfully shared the hope of the Gospel and had the privilege of leading many people to a personal relationship with the Lord. Her legacy is not only found in the family she loved so deeply, but also in the countless lives she touched through her steadfast faith.

Penny was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edwin Adams; and her parents, Gus and Manessa Atkins.

She is survived by her loving daughter Robyn (Ken) Fink; her grandchildren Andrew (Katie) Fink and Tim (Melissa) Fink; her great-grandchild, Gavin Fink along with her eagerly anticipated second great- grandson due to arrive in January. She was also blessed with many dear friends whose love and friendship spanned numerous decades.

A Celebration of Life honoring Penny Adams will be held at The River of Life Church of God, 610 Canton Road, Cumming, GA, 30040, on August 3rd at 6:00 in the evening. In celebration of her joyful life and hope she found in Jesus Christ, her friends and family are encouraged to wear bright, colorful attire, with purple being especially meaningful to her.
