Perry Archer

Perry Archer, 92, of Cumming, GA passed away July 23, 2022. Mr. Archer was born in Atlanta, GA to the late John Archer and Sara Archer. He attended Boys High and Southern Tech and went on to serve in the Georgia State Guard, US Army, and U.S. Army Reserves for more than 45 years combined.  He served his active duty overseas during the Korean Conflict and retired from the Reserves in 1990. Mr. Archer was an active member of The VFW Post #9143. He was a Mason and a 50-year member of Yaarab Shrine. Perry’s early professional work was with Lenox Heating and Air and he enjoyed a life-long career as a real estate investor. Mr. Archer had an engineer’s mind, was handy with tools, and was a licensed HVAC Professional, carpenter, and all-around inventor/tinkerer.  He enjoyed time with his family and his many life-long friends at the VFW.  

Mr. Archer is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Annette Archer; daughter and son in-law, Lynn and Mark Vincent; son and daughter in-law, David and Stacy Archer; grandchildren andtheir spouses, Christopher and Hannah Vincent, Katherine Archer, Anna and Kolton Brumbelow, Madison Vincent, Caroline Archer; and a newborn great grandson, Hudson Vincent.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, July 28, 2022, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens inCumming with military honors provided by The Veterans Alliance. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home &Crematory, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040. 770-887-2388
