Polly Cowart Gravitt

Polly Cowart Gravitt, 97, of Cumming, GA passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022. Mrs. Gravitt was born in Alpharetta, GA to the late Cantrell and Jessie Lee Cowart. Polly was a member of the First Baptist Church Cumming where she was affectionately known as Miss Polly, one of the founding memories of the church preschool program. She was preceded in death by her husband, Minor Julian Gravitt; son, Scott David Gravitt; grandson, Joshua David Gravitt; and son-in-law Stanley Bagwell.

Mrs. Gravitt is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jim Medley; daughter-in-law and  husband, Lynn and Bill Blalock; grandchildren and their spouses, Emily and Adrian Flack, Sam and Tamara Bagwell, Michael and Mihaela Gravitt, Megan and Matt Middlebrooks; great-grandchildren, Hannah Gravitt, Bianca Gravitt, Polly Jane Flack, Matthew Flack,  Dallas Bagwell, Marlowe Bagwell; longtime caregiver and best friend, Gladys Teye.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, November 6, 2022, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Jolly officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
