Raymond Wendall Smith

Raymond Wendall Smith passed away on Friday, August 11th in Cumming, Georgia. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Ella and Lewis Smith; brothers Carrol, JT, and Edward Smith; sisters Lorene and Mildred.

He is survived by his wife Wanda; daughter Susan and her husband Gary; nieces Shirley and Yvonne and nephews Brian, Ralph and Richard.

Raymond was a veteran of the US Army and Air Force. He retired in 1980 and then went on to work in civil service at the air force base in Colorado. When moved back to Georgia he worked for the Norcross Police Department.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Pastor David Laycock presiding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
