Rev. Dr. Natalie Kay Nicholas Adams, known to most as Mrs. Natalie, a loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 59 on October 21st, 2020.
Natalie was born on June 18, 1961 in Pittsburgh, PA and was forever a Steelers fan.
She graduated from Shorter College (BS), The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv), and Columbia Theological Seminary (DMin). Natalie served in various ministerial positions in churches in Kentucky, North Carolina, and Georgia. Natalie was chosen to be the first church planter for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Georgia. She was Pastor of Bannister Creek Church in North Forsyth County. Natalie medically retired from full-time ministry after a diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma.
"In her retirement," Natalie helped develop a crafting ministry at Creekside Church. Through her love of crocheting, jewelry making, and most recently mask making, Natalie positively impacted those she encountered as well as those who were the recipient of her generosity. Her passion for the Lord transcended all of her relationships and everything her hands touched. She was a living example of how to love your neighbor and put others above yourself. Natalie will be remembered for her kind, compassionate, and caring spirit; a true testimony to the God she so faithfully served.
She is survived by her husband Tony, her two children Alison and Samuel, her father Charles Nicholas and her brothers Chuck and Dale. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA on Saturday, October 31st from 2-6 pm. A life celebration service will be held Sunday, November 1st at 2pm at Creekside Church located at 673 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, 30041. Due to COVID-19, the service will have limited seating, 100% face coverings, and all social distancing protocols in place. The service may be viewed via livestream at www.creekside.net. Music for the service will be led by members of the UGA Wesley Foundation Worship Team. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Natalie to the UGA Wesley Foundation. Contributions can be made online at www.ugawesley.org under the "Give" tab. Checks can be mailed directly to 1196 South Lumpkin Street, Athens, GA, 30605 with "In Memory of Natalie Adams" on the memo line.
