Richard Merrill Douglass

Richard Merrill Douglass, esteemed Business Value Consultant and beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother passed away at the age of 66 on March 25, 2023. He was born to James and Jean Douglass on September 23, 1956, in Austin, TX. Richard graduated from Northwestern University with a master’s in business and finance. Richard’s decades long passion was teaching adult Bible study classes, and he served on several nonprofit boards. His most recent passion was riding his motorcycle, planning day trips to the mountains and week-long trips to scenic places rich in history. 


Richard was blessed with a loving family and is survived by his wife, Sherri Douglass; his children, son Timothy Douglass and daughter Stephanie Cere and her husband Bryan Cere; as well as his beloved grandchildren, Jordan Cere, Emma Cere, Gracie Cere and Bentley Cere. 

He is survived by his mother, Jean Douglass, his brother David Douglass and his wife Kim Douglass. Richard was deeply admired and respected by all who knew him professionally and in the church.
