Robert "bob" Bean, Sr

Mr. Robert Bob Bean, Sr., age 77 of Cumming, GA passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010. He was a member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints and was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Bean and sister, Madaline Wheeler. He was an Army veteran with 28 years of service. He served in Germany, Korea and three tours in Vietnam where he served as a medic. Following his military service, he worked for 15 years at the V.A. Hospital in Decatur. Mr. Bean was a Boy Scout leader, member of DAV and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Claudine Bean of Cumming; sons, Robert E. Bean, Jr. of Cumming and Sean E. Bean of NH; daughter, Patricia Ann Bean of NH; brothers, Frank Bean Jr. of MA, Melvin Bean of NH and Edward Bean of NH; sisters, Dorothy Bean of FL, Marylynn Tilton of NH and Beverly Heuer of FL; 4 grand children. A Visitation will be held Monday, January 11, 2010 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home with Bishop Matt Pennington officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, January 12th at 11:00 am in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to offset funeral expenses. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
