Robert John Langer, Jr., 84, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025.
To know Bob was to love him. A proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Bob was a simple man who enjoyed life. He loved horses, fishing, bird watching and baseball; Bob was a lifelong fan of the Atlanta Braves. Very generous, Bob was a man who would give you the shirt off of his back. He was a man who loved beyond measure, particularly he loved and adored his daughter…his baby girl. Bob cherished his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bob is preceded in death by his father, Robert John Langer, Sr., his mother, Geraldine Langer and his special best friend and companion, his dog, Little Bit.
Survivors include his daughter and baby girl, Audrey Swofford; his son-in-law (more like a son), Jesse Swofford; grandchildren, Cody Hotaling, Trey Hotaling, Ashlei (Josh) Allison, Madison Hotaling, Steven Swofford; great grandchildren, Christian (Little Buddy) Hotaling, Joseph Dunne, Raelynn Hotaling, Alaina Allison, Greyson Bronson, Isabelle Hotaling, Lincoln Allison, Makynleigh Hotaling, Derek Hotaling, Elle Allison and Emberly Blackburn.
Bob will be missed by all who knew him - "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" - 2 Corinthians 5:8
