In Loving Memory of Ronnie Rickett

November 22, 1959 – October 18, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronnie Rickett on October 18, 2026, at the age of 66.

Ronnie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was defined by his love for his family, his faith in God, his dedication to his work, and, above all, his desire to help others.

On March 22, 1980, Ronnie married the love of his life, Rita Rickett. Together, they shared more than 46 years of marriage, building a life centered on family, love, and countless memories. Rita was his partner through life's journey, and the family they built together remains one of his greatest legacies.

Ronnie was a proud father to his two sons, Justin Rickett and Jacob Rickett, and a loving father-in-law to Erin Rickett and Sydney Rickett. He was a devoted grandfather to his three precious granddaughters, Baleigh Grace, age 14; Reese Jean, age 10; and Ruby Ann, age 6. His family held a special place in his heart, and the love he shared with them will continue to live on through every generation.

Ronnie's greatest work in life was helping people. He was always looking for ways to make someone's day brighter, lend a helping hand, or bring a little more joy into another person's life. He understood that some of the most meaningful things we do are not measured by titles or accomplishments, but by the kindness we show and the difference we make in the lives of others. Whether through a simple act of kindness or being there when someone needed him, Ronnie found purpose in helping people. The joy he brought to others and the kindness he shared will remain among his most enduring legacies.

Ronnie loved hunting and spending time outdoors with his family and friends. The time and relationships formed outside will always be special with the ones who spent it with him.

His faith was the cornerstone of his life. Ronnie was a member and deacon of Pleasant View Baptist Church, where he served his church family and lived out his commitment to God and others. He was also a proud member of Matt Masonic Lodge #694, where he served as Worshipful Master. Through his church and Masonic service, Ronnie demonstrated his commitment to fellowship, service, and helping those around him.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Rita Rickett; children, Justin (Erin) Rickett, Jacob (Sydney) Rickett; grandchildren Baleigh Rickett, Reese Rickett, and Ruby Rickett; brother Benny Rickett and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by Ben Hill Rickett, Ruby Susie Rickett, Don (Wynell) Rickett, Barbara (Charles) Wood, Hulan (Patsy) Rickett, and Wanda Rickett.

Though his earthly journey has ended, the impact of Ronnie's life will continue through the family he cherished, the people he helped, the church he served, and the countless lives he touched along the way.

May those who mourn his passing find comfort in their memories, strength in one another, and peace in their faith.

Ronnie will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
