Ruby Lee Motes

Ruby Lee Motes went home to be with Jesus and Daddy Tuesday morning the 18th of August 2026. She loved her family fiercely, worried about us constantly and now we are on our own. I know she’s been ready for a while but we were not. She was a woman of strong faith and a longtime member of Cross Plains Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse Theo Motes, her parents Eugene William Flynn and Ruby Howell Flynn, 5 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by her children Terri Sutton (Jim), Vicki Morris (Rick) and Chris Motes (Cara), 7 grandchildren Josh (Courtney), Shawn (Jordan), Casey (Rebecca), Shelbi, Hunter, Perry and Ariana (Kain) 6 great grandchildren Savannah, Whit, Lana, Scottie, Teddy and Jensen, her brother Earl Flynn and countless nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Purcell officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
