Ruth C. Bullard

Ruth C. Bullard, 83, a lifelong resident of Cumming passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2026 surrounded by loved ones at home. To know Ruth was to love her. She devoted her life to serving her family, her church and her community. Ruth was a CASA volunteer for over 10 years and a longtime member of Bethelview United Methodist Church. She was well-read, enjoying books and music and her church. Hers was a life ‘well lived’!

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Junior Bullard; her grandson, Aaron Evans, her parents, Arthur J. and Eula Downs Casteel; and her brother, Wiliam Casteel

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Rusty Evans, Peggi and Joe Williams, Teresa and Steve Carman; grandchildren, Derek Williams, Katherine and Alex Winn, Cameron Davis and Caden Maupin; a great granddaughter, Jemma Williams; sister, Ophelia Coleman; sister-in-law, Shirley Steed; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethelview United Methodist Church with Rev. Joshua Hudson officiating. Ruth will lie in state at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
