Salvatore Salamone Jr.

Salvatore Salamone Jr, age 48, passed away on the morning of January 26th with his loving family by his side. Born on May 4th, 1974 to his mother and father, Vincenza and Salvatore, in Flemington, New Jersey, Sal was the only son and best brother to his three sisters. He grew up in Bloomsburg, PA where he enjoyed dirt bike riding, wrestling, and messing around with all his buddies (and maybe getting into a little trouble). In high school, Sal was known for his charismatic personality, goofiness and kind heart; If he was busting your chops, you knew that he loved you.

He worked at his parents’ restaurant, learning all the family recipes and establishing an incredible work ethic that would later provide him great success. In the late 90’s, Sal moved to North GA and opened Sal’s Place pizzeria in downtown Cumming and it was there that he touched the lives of so many in this community. He was also a talented contractor who believed no job was too small, he was the salt of the earth and always put others before himself. He formed strong connections and bonds with so many customers, employees, fellow hunters and car aficionados that will never be forgotten. Sal is survived by his mother, Vincenza, his grandmother, Nina, his three sisters, Julieann, Adriana and Sabrina, along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Mass will be held for Sal at Good Shepherd on Friday February 3rd at 1pm, followed by a viewing at Ingram Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sal was an avid hunter and was happiest in the wilderness; in lieu of flowers please donate to the Georgia Wildlife Conservation Fund or St, Jude’s Cancer Foundation.
