Samuel R. Cassell

Samuel R. Cassell, 88, of Montgomery, AL, passed away on August 19, 2015. He served as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force during World War II, Korean, and Vietnam War. He retired after 22 years of service to his country. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Hellen Joyce Cassell, and children, Michael Patterson and Katrina Cassell. He is survived by children, Ed Patterson, Cheryl Cook, James Cook, Cristie Wade, and Jeanene Lewis; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Southern Memorial Funeral Home, Montgomery, AL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
