Sandra Mims

Sandra Mims, 75, of Cumming passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, Nanny and friend. She was an administrative assistant for Bell South for over twenty years.  Her hobbies included, scrapbooking, card making, and riding around the country with her loving husband in their Model A Ford.  She was a great friend to all and enjoyed making people laugh.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas R. and Edna Moore Whire; sister, Janis Weldon.

Survivors include her husband, Donnie Mims; children, Donna (Hampton) Haucke, Tommy (Buffy) Mims, Melanie (Frank) Halstead; grandchildren, Hannah (Zack) Marshall, Natalie Haucke, Ashley (Alex) Bagley, Riley (Alix) Halstead, Brock (girlfriend, Lindsey) Halstead; great grandchildren, Laura Belle and Clara Bagley; siblings, Robert Whire, Dick Whire, Cheryl Carter, Jody Whire, Angela Spencer; sisters-in-law, Judy Mims, Carol Mims; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Mims, Thomas (Diann) Mims.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 3:00 PM, at Concord Baptist Church, with Dr. Jimmy Orr officiating.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Mrs. Mims will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 22, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
