Sara Ruth Mullinax

Sara Ruth Estes Mullinax, born June 30, 1943, age 83, passed away on September 14, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene Mullinax, son Tim Mullinax, parents, Ethon & Loyce Estes, and sister Margie Estes Leak.

Sara was a Native of Forsyth County and lived in Cumming her entire life. She was a devoted wife and mother who spent her life caring for her family. She raised her children, kept a loving home, and gave much of herself to the people she loved. She was a member of Cumming Second Baptist Church where her father was a founding member and deacon. She is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, along with Daddy, Tim, Daddy ‘Tes, Mama Tes’ and Margie.

Survivors include her son Todd (Tracie) Mullinax; daughter Danyelle Mullinax of Cumming; and grandchildren Katherine Mullinax Hackney and Kylee Mullinax.

Mom and Dad were married 61 years, raised three children, built a home, and a life together. Mom talked so much about Dad after he passed away. While caring for both of them, I found out how much they truly loved each other. She loved her family and home. Both Mom and Dad did so much for us. They would help not only us but others as well.

She led me in the sinner’s prayer at 12 years old when I told her I felt the lord’s calling in my heart. Years later, she told me she just didn’t know what to say or what to do. I told her she prayed with me and the lord saved me. She knew what to do. She was my mother and my friend.

I never thought we would lose Daddy and Tim in the same year then Mom months later. Our lord, Jesus Christ, has provided strength that can only be found through him.

Mama and Daddy, hope you know I did my best to make sure you were taken care of, that I took care of you both, before you went home. I love you Mama, I’ll see you again one day walking in glory.
