Shane Curtis Holthaus, 55, of Cumming GA went to his heavenly home on March 14th, 2026. Shane was born on December 11th, 1970, to Lester and Gloria Holthaus in Des Moines, Iowa. From a young age Shane had a fascination with computers, dating back to his first job at 14. After graduating college from Washington University in St. Louis, he excelled as a principal software engineer for most of his career. In his spare time, he loved serving others especially through Operation Christmas Child and There’s Hope for the Hungry.

After college, he married his highschool sweetheart Shannon. Shane and Shannon were married for 31 years and built a loving, Christ-centered home where they raised their 3 children.

Shane was preceded in death by his father Lester Holthaus. He is survived by his wife Shannon Holthaus, His children Emily Frederick (Zachary), Nicholas Holthaus, Abigail Holthaus; His Mother, Gloria Holthaus; Sister Krista Wolf and Brother-in-law Thomas Wolf; His niece Kaitlyn Wolf and his nephew Henry Wolf. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.

Our family will receive visitors at Ingram Funeral home on Sunday, March 22nd 1:30 to 3:15. Shane’s memorial service will follow the visitation in the Chapel at Ingram Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to There’s Hope for the Hungry. Shane was an active Group Leader who was passionate about the spread of the Gospel through this ministry.
