Shirley Ruth Jones Holton

Shirley Ruth Jones Holton, age 87, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023. She was born in 1936, to the late Albert Davis and Madge Monteen Jones. She was the oldest of seven children. Shirley was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading, watching sports, square dancing and spoiling her great grand girls. Shirley was always ready to cheer for her teams the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Quincy Holton; children, Gary (Stephanie) Holton, and Nina (Chuck) Moore; grandchildren, Courtney (Jonathon) Parks, Cassie (Will) Illg, Sydney (James) Littleton, and Nikoli Moore; great grandchildren, Kendall, Kelby, Aubrey, Averie, and Beckett; siblings, Ethel Caine, W.L. (Jane) Jones, and Herman Jones; caregiver, Michelle Gilreath; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA, with Rev. Eddie Caine, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
