Shirley Joyce (Smith) Sosebee

Shirley Joyce (Smith) Sosebee, 84, of Milton, passed away Sunday, October 18th, 2020. Shirley was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton. She and her husband, Lee, ran Lee Sosebee Service Station in Alpharetta for 23 years. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She loved spending time with her family, camping with friends, and crafting. Shirley owned a ceramics shop in the basement of her home for many years and shared her passion for the craft by teaching it to others. She enjoyed decorating for Christmas and inviting loved ones into her home over the years for holiday open houses. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Sosebee; and parents, A.L. "Smitty" and Eleanor Smith.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon (Dennis) Henderson; son, Michael (Liz) Sosebee; grandchildren, April (Brad) Cochran, Aaron (Davita) Sosebee, Zak (Emily Sullivan) Sosebee, and Kelsey (Bobby Miller) Sosebee; great grandchildren, Mason Sosebee, Case Sosebee, Tessa Miller, and Skyler Sosebee; several cousins also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday October 21, 2020 at Green Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Bud Sutton and Rev. Alan Sutton officiating. The family requires that masks be worn by guests and use social distancing during the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton, 15730 Hopewell Road, Milton, GA, 30004.
