Shirley Mae Smith

Shirley Mae Smith, 69, of Cumming passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024. Shirley was born April 10, 1954 to the late John and Nettie Mae McDaniel. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, Ann Callahan, Johnnie Chance, Sue Dishroom, Larry McDaniel, Bobby McDaniel, Clarence McDaniel, John Junior McDaniel, Charles McDaniel step-son Jason and Donna Chance.

Survivors include her husband, Wilborn Smith of Cumming; daughters, Jennifer and Samuel Makar of Oakwood, Amanda and Arthur Garde of Auburn; step-daughter, Lynn and Ron Vick of Ellijay; step-son Samuel and Donna Chance of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Lizzy Smith, Anna Fowler, Byron Prather, Ryker Vick, Chey Frady, Krista Terry, Letha Smith and Mesha Anderson; sister, Lois Minish of Monroe and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. 

 Funeral services will be held Friday, February 23, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stoney Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
