It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that we confirm that our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Shirley Martin Witherow, age 85 years young of Cumming, GA passed away on Wednesday March 18, 2026. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Shirley was preceded in death by parents, Homer & Lucille Martin, brothers, Ruphard Hugh Martin, Sr., and Phillip Martin, sister, Phyllis Martin, and daughters, Ann Chamber, Tina Grizzle and Candi Tucker.

She is survived by her husband of 66 wonderful years, Robert Paul Witherow, of Cumming, GA, children, Elaine Castleberry Frady, of Cumming, GA, Robin & Robert Bass, of Gainesville, GA, sister, Lula Bell (Marvin) Bridges. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Sunday, March 22, 2026, in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ryan Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
