Stacy Lynn Allen King, 69, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025. A devoted mother, grandmother, and champion for the vulnerable, Stacy lived a life defined by fierce love, unwavering advocacy, and boundless kindness.
Born on September 21, 1956, Stacy dedicated her career to education, earning a Master’s degree in Education and a Specialist degree in Special Education. She began as a classroom teacher, creating sanctuaries where every child—especially those with special needs or challenging circumstances—found a tireless advocate. Later, as an administrator, she shaped policies, mentored staff, and broadened pathways to learning so that every student had the chance to thrive. Colleagues and families alike remember her as a fierce fighter who never backed down when a child needed her voice.
At home, Stacy was the heart of her family: a smart, fun, and deeply wise mother who guided with gentle strength and celebrated with infectious joy. She poured her soul into her children, Derek Allen, Heaven Allen-Simpkins (Kevin), and Kurt Allen (Sarah), and delighted in the laughter of her grandchildren—Laken Wysocki, Alexis Allen, Haleigh Allen, Patrick Allen, Layla Allen, Amaleena Miller-Allen, Lily Miller-Allen, Grayson Simpkins, Alexandra Simpkins, and Carter Soupios—and her 2 great-grandchildren, Jayden Hernandez and Lawrence Simpkins. She is also survived by her two sisters, Patricia Rainwater and Penny Barnette, who will continue to cherish her memory.
Stacy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Grady Allen; her granddaughter Angel Leigh Allen; her father, Patrick Wallace; and her mother, Mary Lee Hood. Though they are gone, the love they shared lives on in every story she told and every life she touched.
Stacy’s legacy is not measured in degrees or titles, but in the countless individuals—students, family, friends—who are stronger, braver, and kinder because she believed in them. She will be deeply missed, fiercely remembered, and forever loved.
A funeral service to honor the life of Stacy will be held on Monday, November 17th, 2025, at 2 PM in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Nicky Gravitt officiating. Following the service, interment will take place at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family of Stacy Lynn Allen King will be accepting visitors on November 17th, from 11 AM until the time of service.
