Stephen H. Deadwyler

Stephen H. Deadwyler, 65, passed away on October 7th, 2023.  He was a beloved husband, father, and brother.

He was born to Betty Jane and Joe Davis Deadwyler, in Atlanta, GA.  He grew up in Sandy Springs, GA.  He attended Ridgeview High School and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Georgia State University. There he met his business partner and together they created a very successful home remodeling business. He loved his profession and maintained his company up until he became ill. His work ethic was exceptional, he was always ready and available to help his customers. He was hired to do a job at a local Art Gallery and that is where he met Mary. The start of a beautiful friendship and a lifetime of love.  His favorite hobbies were riding bikes, boating, working on cars; anything that had a motor. He could repair anything he put his mind to. In his spare time, he was always working on something.  He participated in BRAG (Bicycle Ride Across Georgia) for several years in a row and was eager to arrange rides with friends. He never missed a chance to go boating with friends after work and on the weekends. He loved to read books, and shared book selections with friends. His taste in music varied from rock to country swing.  His favorite bands were Leon Russell and Asleep at the Wheel.  He was always ready to see them in concert whenever they came to town.

Steve left his wife of 35 years, Mary; his daughter, Maddie; his son-in-law, Ty; his sister, Peggy, and brother-in-law, Rudy and their children.
