Terry Dwight Barrett

Terry Dwight Barrett, age 69, of Dawsonville, GA, passed away on December 19th, 2025. He was born on February 6th, 1956. Terry adored his children and his grandchildren. He loved motorcycles and fast cars and was happy when he was able to work on them. Terry raced cars that he built at Lanier Speedway. He would give you the shirt off his back with no questions asked. He loved to deer hunt, fish, camp, or anything that was outdoors. Terry also loved oldies music. He is preceded in death by the love of his life of 49 years, wife Darlene Barrett; daughter, Nicole Anderson; brothers, Jerry Barrett, Jamey Simmons.

He is survived by his mother, Etta Simmons; son, Chris (Amanda) Barrett; grandchildren, Nicole “Angel” Barrett, Lonnie Barrett, Olivia Anderson, Colby (Emma) Anderson; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Rose Anderson, Hudson Anderson; brother, Jason Simmons; sisters, Robbie (Marvin) Ruis, Lee (Chris) Barclay.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 21st, 2025, at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Ray Martin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
