Thomas Edwin Maurer, affectionately known as “Tom ” , 22 of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away on April 20, 2026. Mr. Maurer was the Vice President of Operations for Maurer Co. Retaining Walls, Inc where he worked alongside his family. Tom was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Peter and Lorelei Maurer. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, music, dancing and especially cars. Tom was one of the kindest souls you would ever meet.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Carole Maurer; his parents, Peter and Lorelei Maurer; his sister, Evelyn Maurer; paternal grandmother, Carol Maurer; and a niece on the way, Nova.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor John “Sparky” Hemenway officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, Georgia 30040 (770-887-2388).
