Rev. Tony B. Roughton, age 70 of Dawsonville, passed away, Thursday, January 10, 2013. He was the Pastor of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church for 7 years and Moriah Baptist Church for 2 years. Tony was the best man on earth, good hearted, and considered everyone family. To him every day was Christmas. Survivors include his wife, Verdell Roughton of Dawsonville; children, Rhonda Sharee and Doug Chadwick of Cumming, Tony Scott and Lisa Roughton of Clarksville, TN, Timothy Wayne and Deena Roughton of Gainesville, Pamela Michele and Jason Fairbanks of Gainesville, Ronald Lynn Roughton of Gainesville; sister, Betty Canon of Cusetta, AL and Cynthia Ellis of Duluth; brothers, Wayne Roughton of Dadeville, AL, Mike Roughton of Dadeville, AL; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 13th at 4:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Cobb and Mr. Dick Peden officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, Saturday from 2:00 until 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
