Virginia Heard Holbrook

Virginia Heard Holbrook, age 93, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. She was born in 1927, to the late Egbert and Genelia Heard. Virginia was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. While attending Coal Mountain Baptist Church, she sang in the choir and was a part of the WMU. Virginia loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a blessing to all who knew her. Virginia loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Holbrook; son, Barry Samples; and siblings, Wayne, Cleon, Frank, and Betty Heard.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Kelley (John) Mullinax, and Matthew (Margaret) Samples; daughter-in-law, Cindy Samples; great grandchildren, Hunter, Landon, and Grayson Mullinax, and Aiden Samples; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 18, 2020 at 12 noon at Coal Mountain Baptist Church in Cumming, GA with Rev. Danny Bennett, and Rev. Pete Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
