Vyrsa Madge Bates

Vyrsa Madge Bates, 93, of Cumming passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Vyrsa was a very kind and loving mother who loved animals. She was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bates, and a son, Ronnie Bates.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Bates of Cumming; granddaughter, Christie and Robbie Wilson of Franklin, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Westbrooks, Rev. Benny Clark and Rev. Greg Hamilton officiating. Vyrsa will lie in state at the church Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
