Walter E. Okenica

Walter E. Okenica, age 68, of Cumming, GA passed away after a short battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis on December 23rd, 2014. Walter is remembered as a loving man who was an instant friend to everyone he met. He loved entertaining while on the water at Lake Lanier, or while taking in a Falcons or Bulldogs game. Walter had a wonderful sense of humor, he loved to cook and enjoyed feeding family and friends. He had a tireless work ethic and enjoyed a long career in technology until his passing. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Diane; daughter, Lauren Okenica; son, Brian Okenica & spouse Angela; granddaughter Adelyn Mae Okenica; 2 brothers, Edward and Dick Okenica; sister Terri Silverman; brother and sister-in-laws, David, Claudia, Donnie, and Bonnie Montana, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 27th, 2014 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
