William "Bill" Ralph Watkins

William Ralph “Bill” Watkins, age 83, of Cumming, GA., passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Bill was born to the late Junior and Vera Watkins and in his younger years he grew up in Whitmire, South Carolina on a dairy farm. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie and Jesse Watkins. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Bill was an avid fisherman and hunter. He attended Beaver Ruin Baptist Church where he was known as the “Candy Man” because he always had an endless pocket of candy he would give out to the young and old alike.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Martha Watkins; his children, Jason and Jamie Watkins, Jennifer and Rusty Perkins; grandchildren, Morgan (Taylor) Mincey, Bowen (Chris) Mincey, August Watkins, Tate (Maya) Watkins, Matthew (Tiffany) Perkins, Nicholas Perkins and Vera Ivy Perkins; great grandchildren on the way, Marlee Jay Watkins and Thomas Oliver Perkins; sister and brothers in law, Carolyn and Danny Moss, Keith Felsburg; sisters in law, Sylvia Watkins and Ann Felsburg; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Shadburn officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Monday from 11:00 am until time of service.
