William Cooper "Bill" Levensalor

William "Bill" Cooper Levensalor, age 71, passed away at his home in Cumming, GA, surrounded by his family on November, 16th. He was born on August 26th, 1944 in Springfield, MA to Kenneth and Elizabeth Levensalor. He spent his formative years in Cromwell, CT. Bill joined the army in 1968 and was awarded the Bronze Star in Vietnam before his honorable discharge in 1969. Upon his return from the war, Bill returned to Alfred University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree and met his future wife. On December 4th, 19 71, he married Maureen Rita Swanick. After college, Bill worked in the industrial belting arena and eventually started Belt Corporation of America in 1985 in Cumming, GA. He devoted 30 years to building a reputable, state of the art manufacturing business. He was a respected member of the business community and a leader in the industrial belting world. Bill coached his three sons in soccer over a span of 25 years and was a co-founder of Forsyth County's first soccer association, The Forsyth Rowdies. He was also active in the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce serving on the Board of Directors. Bill also served on the Athletic Committee of Lakeview Academy in Gainesville, GA. Bill served on a Lanier Tech Business Advisory Board. He is currently a member of Rotary International. He is survived by his beloved wife Maureen, sons, Randy of Boulder, CO, Adam and wife Stefanie of Norfolk, VA and Alex of Atlanta, GA. He has three granddaughters who he adored. His sister Martha Ann Field of Auburn, ME survives him. A memorial service will be held at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church 7620 Lanier Dr Cumming, GA 30041.
