William D. (Bill) Strayhorn, Jr.

William D. (Bill) Strayhorn, Jr., 73, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025. Bill was a generous man of God who put his family first. He was a hard worker, and cared for anybody who knocked on his front door. Bill is preceded in death by his daughter, Sonya Medlin, and his parents, William Strayhorn, Sr. and Effie Martin.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Strayhorn; sons, Darryl (Stacey) Strayhorn, Gregory (Shelley) Strayhorn, and James Wood; sister, Barbara (Larry) Mooney; grandchildren, Kayla Polly, Madison Vomero, Hunter Latham, Britney Strayhorn, and Elyssa Strayhorn; great grandchildren, Willow, Jacob, Brynlee, Harper, and William.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 30, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jesse Chism, Rev. Carlton Coker and Rev. Barney Johns officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
