Willie Mark Mullinax

Willie Mark Mullinax, 73, of Forsyth County, GA, passed peacefully June 21st, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and the prayers of newfound friends from his year stay at The Oaks of Braselton assisted living. While there, he embraced bingo, wood working, and his endeared smoking buddies. Willie was a dedicated and hard-working man passionate about his landscaping work. When not in the field digging and planting trees, he was a beloved coach and mentor on the ball field when his kids were growing up. During his later years, he looked forward to monthly luncheons with his childhood friends and school mates. Willie loved the Georgia Tech yellow jackets, but his greatest joy and love of all was his grandkids.

 

Willie is preceded in death by his parents, Major W. and Catherine Mullinax, and brother, Barry Mullinax. He is survived by his children, son Scott Mullinax (Kim),  daughter Alicia Opolka (Chris) and grandchildren, Brandon and Nick Mullinax and Cydney, Sophie, Saydee, Andrew, and Sam Opolka, siblings, Wanda Delay, Beverly (Lanny) Shadburn, and Reba (Bobby) Castleberry.
