Kevin ... Our fathers Russell and Ray were brothers. And, you and I were like brothers growing up in Alpharetta together. Playing baseball at Wills Park or at Birmingham or Hopewell. Playing front yard football at our Grandma / Grandpa's house on Canton St. Riding our bikes up to the Alpharetta Fire House as Junior Volunteer Firemen at 15 and 16 years of age. Then working together at Fulton County in what is now Johns Creek, Milton, and Sandy Springs - me with the Police and you with Fire. NOT many of any MEN in this State can say they served at the City, County, and State level in the Fire Service - but you can. Our daddies died three weeks apart in Nov and Dec 2016. The brothers needed each other we guessed. After my mama, Gale, died in Feb 2019 I could see some pain in your eyes, and you came over for the night to sleep in our "guest room", and you made it YOUR room for about 6 months. Jennifer and London and I were more than honored to make you a part of the family. We went down to the beach house in Miramar Beach a couple or three times. We laughed, remembered our childhood, told police and fire stories, talked baseball and watched our Braves, told lies about fishing and women, and then you said you were ready to go back to the land in Washington County. I followed you down to Tena's house, and made sure you were good to go. I will forever miss and love you - my Uncle Russell's son that I call my brother. God Bless you, Kevin. I pray you were penitent and humble before God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I shall see you again, but not yet - not yet my friend.

I only knew Kevin through his work at Twin City Auto Parts. Always, out going and friendly. Quickly, learned he had lived just around the corner from my son - Dawsonville address. The conversation often turned to places and thing we each knew. Rest in Peace my Friend!

CandleMy sweet friend, I can’t believe you’re gone. Oh the memories I cherish of working at FCSO together 30 years ago now. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long. Please know that you are loved and missed! Prayers are going up for your sweet family.
